One of the options for gaining entrance into the St. Kitts citizenship by investment program is by making a direct investment into a real estate project in St. Kitts and Nevis. The government of St. Kitts has set aside numerous real estate projects for the citizenship by investment program. The investment into the real estate program must not be an amount smaller than US$400,000. In addition to this there are a few fees which must also be paid, including: registration fees of US$50,000 for the main applicant and dependents over 18 (other than spouse); US$25,000 for other dependents and spouse; due diligence fees for the main applicant at US$7,500 and US$4,000 for other persons (over 16) under the application.

Citizenship of St. Kitts can also be acquired through the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF). Applicants can make a monetary donation to the SIDF and become eligible for citizenship. There are four (4) options in this process which s suitable for a single applicant or applicants with up to six (6) dependents. A Single applicant will make a contribution of US$250,000. An Applicant with a small family (no more than 3 dependents) will make a contribution of US$300,000. A contribution of US$350,000 can be made by an applicant with no more than five dependents. Applicants with six or more dependents can make a contribution of US$ 450,000. Due diligence fees apply as well and are set at US$7,500 or the main applicant and US$4,000 each for any persons (over 16) under the application.

When applying for St. Kitts citizenship there are a few very important documents which must be submitted. Applicants must fill the application form and submit 3 copies (one original and two copies). An original birth certificate for each applicant enrolled into the program with names and date of birth clearly written is needed. Applicants must also include a certified copy of their current travel document; another form of picture identification is accepted for persons with no travel document. Applicants must submit marriage certificate or a divorce certificate. A criminal record must be sent in along with medical certificates.

St. Kitts citizenship is processed once all the relevant documents and the results of due diligence are in. People with criminal records are not always considered for St. Kitts citizenship. Once citizenship has been gained new citizens can then begin the application process for owning a St. Kitts passport.
